           You
know when you’re ready to take it to the next level. The
realization hits when you’ve been wakeboarding behind the
same boat over and over and the air isn’t getting any bigger
and the tricks aren’t getting any harder. If you find
yourself at that point, the new Tigé 22V Riders Edition
could be your saving grace.

           This
V-drive is all about elevating wakeboarding to the next level, and
it proved its mettle at the 2002 U.S. Open Wakeboard Championship.
That success is built on a solid foundation, the same one that
makes the new 22V Limited Edition so good. Tigé’s
unique XL panel-based construction combined with the extended
length and uncommonly wide 102-inch beam produce a rock-solid ride
through even rough conditions for a strong, steady pull. Revisions
to the hull include a ConvexV innovation in the trailing edge that
lets the transom run lower in the water for bigger wakes. The
patented TAPS system, with adjustable wake plate controlled from
the driver’s seat, can crank up wake size even further by
sending the bow up and the transom down.

           All
that is enough to satisfy most boarders, but if you want to go
where no one has gone before, this Riders Edition has a special
option: the Triple Threat ballast system. Brace yourself, because
fully loaded, the system adds up to 1,600 pounds for mountainous
wakes that you’ll almost need a pickax and crampons to
conquer.

           Master
those wakes and you’ll deserve a party. This 22V brings a new
level to that, too, with wide-open wraparound seating, oversized
40-can cooler, plenty of drink holders, optional cocktail table and
the killer Tower of Power stereo upgrade. Clear out everything else
— put the boards on the tower racks and stash the rest of the
gear in the front or rear storage compartments — then get the
party started.

The Lowdown:

•Tons of options for customizing wakes thanks to the
ConvexV hull, the TAPS variable plate and the 1,600-pound ballast
system.

•Festive amenities promote a great party atmosphere as
passengers relax on the sun deck, on the wraparound seating or in
the spacious bow.

•Seating for the passenger and driver feels remarkably deep
and secure.

•Plush 40-ounce carpet is removable in the bow for easy
cleaning.

•Faria analog instrumentation offers great readability.

•Bold hull graphics set it apart from the Limited Edition
line.
