The flagship wakeboarding boat in Supra's stable is the Launch SSV. Decked out with amenities on the already loaded lineup, the SSV is the V-drive version of the Launch SS, striving to provide a top wakeboarding experience.
This is the only Supra aside from the Sunsport V with convertible rear-facing stadium seating. Load it down with your audience and with the new 2004 ballast system (one front and two rear removable quick-filling bags come standard) to boost the wakes without sacrificing driving performance. Even pack passengers into the open bow with double-up flip-up seating. The Launch SSV is on the big end, so it doesn't whip around super fast, but its turning is surprisingly quick for its size. The Rad-a-Cage tower with bolt-on board racks, and the new solid windshield stanchions, make for a sturdy feel. Plus, like all Launch models, the boat comes with board racks, stereo, EFI and custom trailer for a complete package.
Wakeboarding
The Launch SSV's riding performance is geared to the high-end wakeboard market. Pro-size wakes invite all of your toughest moves. And it's not just the size that matters. The peak of the wake is especially smooth while providing good kick off the top. Older wakeboarders with bad knees will be happy to know that the wakes have exceptionally long and soft landing zones. This is a boat that you can hang out in all day with your friends and be completely comfortable. With high freeboard, it's a deep boat that handles rough conditions with real solidity. The boat's tracking ability when fully weighted is outstanding, while it holds speed very well when cutting through double-ups.
