For a family looking to get into wakeboarding without denting the household budget too much, take a look at the Mobius LS. At the starting point in Moomba's line of wakeboarding-specific boats, this model has the inboard configuration to cross over into the multisports performance realm, without alienating parents interested in skiing.
The Mobius LS comes standard with the basic tools anyone needs to get started with serious wakeboarding. The swept-back Rad-a-Cage tower boosts riders to new heights while providing two board-rack options (there's also a new plug for tower lights and speakers). A one-bag Bertha Ballast, situated in the rear, can turn up the wake amplitude. If you're ready for it, upgrade the ballast to two bags and score a hydraulic wake plate – not to mention maxing out the stereo sound system.
For storage, try the locker in the walk-through passage or the compartments in the side and at the transom. For the exterior look, make the most of the new Mobius graphics and the two-tone CCP ArmorFlex gelcoat. For your own water-sports happiness, just get the Mobius LS.
Slalom
The wakes are just a few notches away from tournament level – if you empty the ballast and pretend you don't see the wakeboarding tower. Skiers at slower speeds and longer line lengths will enjoy jolt-free wake crossings at 15 off. After you get through 22 off with a fairly stiff bump, the wakes soften up for intermediate course skiers.
Wakeboarding
A good choice for multisport compatibility performance. Our three-bag test-team ballast took this direct-drive to advanced intermediate levels of wakeboarding. The wake has a distinct lip and the transitions are quick.
