Recommendation: Hard-core Wakeboard
In recent years, the V-drive market has boomed, and Moomba gives you the perfect entry point into the craze with the Mobius LSV. It's value-priced and fully equipped for wakeboarding.
From a performance standpoint, the LSV doesn't give up too much in the way of handling and responsiveness compared to its inboard LS counterpart. The hole shot and acceleration are still refreshingly fast, while allowing for a good ride through chop and when creating double-ups. And of course, it comes standard with triple tracking fins, four-blade prop, Rad-a-Cage tower with two board-rack options and the one-bag ballast system.
In the interior, the V-drive configuration, with the engine tucked under the wide, three-piece sun deck, opens up room for wraparound seating and a convertible rear-facing bench. Pack in up to 10 people from the open bow to the fiberglass nonskid swim platform. You're ready for a day of wakeboarding at a surprisingly low price.
Wakeboarding
The wake behind this baby is sized for advanced riding that is worthy of the pros. The transition had a good length, and the double-ups formed well and lifted our test riders to bigger moves beyond rampy wakes. The Mobius LSV provided solid tracking and handling for our test team. The boat doesn't feel like it's rolling on edge even with an aggressive wakeboard load from out wide. We highly recommend the upgrade to the three-bag ballast, hydraulic wake plate, chrome board racks and Perfect Pass to really maximize your investment with performance and aesthetic appeal. For a value priced boat, the wake and handling performance are virtually unbeatable.
Lowdown
