Recommendation: Hard-Core Wakeboard

Though we think the V208 is Supreme's most serious wakeboard boat, the passengers may have just as much fun as the rider. Special attention has been paid to their needs.
It starts the moment you get into the boat from the dock. A built-in entry step between the adjustable driver's seat and the wraparound seating means no footprints need mark up the soft vinyl. With the 95-inch beam, there's ample legroom to stretch out and move around. Once under way, the deep-V entry of the hull design, which tapers to a 16-degree semi-V bottom, virtually eliminates side spray as it cleaves through the water for a serene, dry ride. There's also a standard trim tab, a power management system, gauges for the ballast tanks, a flip-up seat and 1:46 to 1 transmission.
When it's time to stop and relax, the square shape of the sun pad maximizes every inch of the rear space so everyone can catch some rays. You may never want to step back onto the dock.
Wakeboarding
Our test riders found good, smooth, peaky wakes that were fairly big, with the perfect width. The V-drive engine configuration loads up the back as is, but the ballast tanks with reversible pumps add 300 pounds each to further increase the amplitude. Experimenting with line lengths helped us find the best transition. Intermediate riders especially will be comfortable launching off the solid double-ups, though all riders can get something out of these wakes. Even when fully loaded, the V208 produces nice carving turns with excellent speed holding capabilities with no cavitation.
Lowdown
-Supreme's best boat for wakeboarding comes with passenger-friendly design elements.
-Excellent wakeboarding speed-holding capability, although a little slow out of the hole.
-The wide beam creates great legroom as well as allowing for big storage compartments throughout the boat.
-The self-draining ice chest is built into the bow with cup holders right alongside.
-Dual gas fills, depth finder, air- and water-temp gauges, and Clarion CD stereo are nice touches that come standard.
