For those who see the direct-drive 220 SP and say, “If only it came in a V-drive,” Supreme provides this model. The Sky Supreme V220 SP merges the nimble handling of a 90-inch-wide boat with the advantages of wraparound seating and better swells for wakeboarding.
The Sky package comes standard with a tower, 600 pounds of factory ballast and an edgy graphics. It still features the low seating and high freeboard that make a Supreme feel so secure inside. The hull is designed to give a smooth ride even if the conditions start to get a little choppy.
In addition to the construction, this boat has great amenities, such as excellent cushioning, plush carpet, an optional fiberglass platform, and spacious storage for a boat this size. Other touches like the dual vented chrome gas fills and the Faria gauges are subtle things that make this ride even more user-friendly.
Skiing
As expected, the direct-drive version of this boat offers better skiability, but recreational skiers won't mind the slightly harder wakes this V-drive throws up, especially at longer line lengths and casual cruising. And for families, we like to point out that there's always tubing.
Wakeboarding
The Sky Supreme V220 SP looks and rides like a wakeboarding machine. The wakes themselves are fairly clean, and provide a fun challenge for intermediate to advanced riders. The landing zones are worthy of clean smooth landings. It maintains speed well when weighted, and the double-ups are easy to line-up and hit with authority.
