Recommendation: Hard-core Slalom

Supra's ultimate skiing machine is the Comp LTS. As the company's only model previously sanctioned by USA Water Ski for use at three-event tournaments, the boat was a test-team favorite for its excellent tracking with the triple fins, its quick acceleration to skiing speed (fastest of all the Supras) and its sweet slalom wakes.
Aside from the skiing, the Comp LTS offers creature comforts for your dawn-patrol buddies and weekend-happy kids. The open bow and legroom around the clamshell motor box are as spacious as possible for a boat that's just a half-inch under 20 feet, though it's a beamy 95 inches wide. The helm has perfect visibility over the low-profile gauges, though you can resort to the 4-inch seat riser in the new bucket seat, which is nicely situated alongside the throttle for comfortable driving. The center storage locker is well-designed for stowing skis, and the two 12-volt outlets are a plus.
Slalom
All the way from 15 off through shortline slalom, 30 to 36 mph, the wake characteristics were near the top of the charts, with small, soft wakes. The bump at 22 off was almost nonexistent, one of the best we've seen, earning a near perfect score from our test team. A powerful Indmar Assault 340 HP will have you up to slalom speed in an instant. While you're up and running, a standard hydraulic wake plate can customize the wake to your liking. The operator of this skiing beauty is treated to a super-comfy driver's seat and a well-positioned throttle arm. The Comp's skiing performance, tracking ability and solid ride make it a must-test if you're shopping for an outstanding family ski boat.
