Gekko Revo 6.7

OVERVIEW
The first impression is spot-on when it comes to the Gekko Revo 6.7: It's a fresh, sporty boat with a custom feel. That comes from the tight-knit water-sports mind trust at Minnesota-based Gekko.
    Among the unique styling lines are the swooping stern, cockpit curves and tower arcs. The rub rail loops down to hug the edges of the massive swim platform, which is molded into the transom rather than added on. The forward keel is deeper than the norm for a dramatic look while flying across the lake, as well as dramatically enhanced handling in rougher water and a high, secure freeboard.
    Gekko has incorporated all of this across a 102-inch beam, the widest you'll find in a 22-footer. It's also very comfortable, with the cushions of the big passenger lounge wrapping through the padded walk-through into the playpen bow.

SKIING
The people of Gekko have always had a special love for skiing, so they've made sure the Revo 6.7 is worthy of a set. The hull of this wide V-drive is similar to that of the company's tournament-approved GTR 22, so we found wakes suitable for fun open-water skiing when we took our line length from 15 through 28 off.

WAKEBOARDING
With twin 550-pound, built-in ballast tanks alongside the engine, and one 450-pounder in the front, our test wakeboarders shortened their usual line lengths to find beefy peaks that would do beginners to intermediates proud. Big landing zones were especially good for going to blind on the far side of the wake.

LOWDOWN
• Distinctive style with sweeping lines gives the Revo 6.7 a sporty look.
