MasterCraft Boats 2005 MariStar 210

MasterCraft MariStar 210 VRS

OVERVIEW
The MariStar 210 VRS should be an easy sell to families also considering an I/O runabout. Better responsiveness, tighter turning radius, shallower draft, safer prop location, greater water-sports capabilities — all are advantages made strikingly clear minutes into our test drive.
Once these families are convinced that a
V-drive is well worth the price difference, the 210 represents an excellent way to step into a MariStar. It's the smallest boat in that lineup —20 feet, 9 inches long with a 95-inch beam — but even through chop, the deep-V hull helps maintain a smooth feel as the kids spread out in the wraparound lounge and the open bow. Make the interior even cushier with an optional bow filler cushion and stowable refreshment table. A fun ski set or wakeboarding run can be as easy as pulling the gear out of the plentiful storage compartments, crossing over the three-piece sun deck and hitting the water.

SKIING
If you could see a 210 VRS running alongside a typical I/O, both with skiers in tow, the differences would be obvious. The much shallower draft and water-sports-specific hull design of the 210 make the wakes so much more mellow at skiing speeds. Recreational skiers can rope onto the pylon and enhance their skills to an intermediate level thanks to these wakes.

WAKEBOARDING
This is the same hull that's on the wakeboarding-oriented X-10, so the 210 VRS is like a sleeping tiger when it comes to serious riding. When you're ready for big, advanced-level wakes, peaky double-ups and fairly smooth transitions, get the optional tower and ballast to let the 210 VRS tap its full potential.
