OVERVIEW
In its third year of production, the Session 22Xi has established itself as a bona fide three-event — wakeboard, wakeskate, wake surf — wake-sports boat.
With this boat's unique interior configuration, your rider will have a captive audience. The seating design offers swiveling First Class captain's and observer's split bucket seats, as well as rear-facing Sky Box bucket seats amidships. When you lift the pop-up seat backs hidden in the sun pad, you'll find two more deep bucket seats with a bird's-eye view of the action.
Your 10-person crew has 60 cubic feet of storage space at their disposal in two bow storage compartments, under the port-side cockpit bench and in the self-draining cooler. Amenities like snap-out carpet for easy cleanup, gas struts on all the storage compartments and the cushioned On Deck transom seat show that Session likes to go the extra mile.
WAKEBOARDING
The secret to this boat's high-end wakes is its new optional Whale Tail. This adjustable hydrofoil can be positioned in 12-degree increments to redirect the prop wash up and apply the force of the transom downward for precise control of the wakes. With the Whale Tail fully engaged, this is one of the few boats that can be ridden with the 920 pounds of stock ballast and get plenty of wake volume for pro-level size. The wakes are large, with smooth, rampy transitions and soft landing zones for huge wake-to-wake moves. The hull drives through double-ups nicely, although tracking will test your skills when you're toting full ballast.
