OVERVIEW
Direct-drive handling, wakeboarding features and Supra amenities all come together in the Launch 21. The Launch, the first wakeboarding model from Skier's Choice, was introduced in 1999. Last year, it evolved with a revised hull and updated styling. For 2005, the clarifying “21″ is added to the name of this 21-foot-2 model, but its commitment to stellar wakeboarding remains true.
Passengers will enjoy the wide 98-inch beam and especially deep freeboard. They make for remarkably spacious and secure seating that you don't often find in an inboard, as well as ample storage. The plush carpet and cushy upholstery also let everyone ride in supreme comfort. And of course, the boat comes with everything you need for wakeboarding: double ballast system, new tower, hydraulic wake plate and the rockin' stereo for your CDs, MP3s and Sirius satellite radio.
SKIING
Thanks to the standard wake plate, this wakeboarding model shows some love for skiers who want a little free skiing or even a pass through the course. With it almost all the way down, skiers from the recreational level up to intermediate will be cruising over softened-up wakes from 15 off at 30 mph to 32 off at 34 mph.
WAKEBOARDING
Don't worry about loading down the Launch 21 with fat sacks beyond the factory ballast — it handles extra weight very well, creating wakes big enough to challenge even some advanced riders. Wakeboarders still getting the hang of jumping will want to ride with a shorter rope.
