Tige 2005 20V

Tigé 20V

OVERVIEW
The Tigé 20V packs a lot of punch into its 20 feet. Its nimble size delivers excellent maneuverability and responsiveness from the throttle, as well as great water-sports versatility. Just like every Tigé model, the 20V is available in three graphics packages — the Limited, Riders Edition, and new West Coast Edition. Even though it's a little on the short side, its wide 96-inch beam allows some of the creature comforts of a larger vessel. Passengers can chill in the contoured seating of the deep open bow, watch the excitement on the water from the observer's seat, hang out in the wraparound seating or catch some rays on the sun deck. Whether your crew prefers skiing or wakeboarding, the 20V's wake crossover ability ranks high, with credit going to the ConvexV hull and TAPS2. With no ballast to worry about, you can quickly transition from ripping across the wakes on your ski to flipping your way to intermediate-level moves on your wakeboard.
The 20V is a unique boat in the Tigé lineup. It's worthy of a test drive if you're looking for multisport fun in an easy-to-trailer, easy-to-store package.

SKIING
The 20V is one of the few V-drives deserving of an aggressive open-water slalom set. With the TAPS2 set at 1.5, we encountered moderately soft wakes at 15 through 28 off, with the usual bump at 22 off. Our skiers really respected its crossover ability. We found its best performance at 15 off between 30 and 32 mph.WAKEBOARDING
The ConvexV hull and TAPS2 technology make for excellent wake shape, easily producing peaky or mellow wakes, depending on what the rider wants. With those two standout features, Tigé gears the 20V toward ballast-free wakeboarding. Intermediate riders may find all they need with that setup. But we couldn't help sneaking on some additional ballast bags to dial up wakes that satisfied even our advanced riders. When weighted, the 20V Limited still maintains its respectable tracking ability. For the complete wakeboarding vibe, you should opt for the Riders Edition graphics.
