BOAT REVIEW
There might not be a more appealing family wakeboard and ski tow boat at the price and performance of the newly redesigned Moomba Outback LS. At a starting price of $28,995, this all-around performer is tough to beat. It’s bigger, wider and deeper than last year’s model, and with storage options like a large in-floor locker and gull-wing rear trunk, there’s even more room to move around without tripping over equipment. The Outback LS is a boat that the first-time family inboard buyer will easily fall in love with.
WAKES
For slalom, the wakes are moderately soft and will satisfy intermediate-level course skiers as well as skiers who enjoy open-water sets at 15 off. Thanks to the upgraded ballast system, the LS produces smooth ramps and wakes large enough for intermediate riders.
COMFORT
With its deep open bow and enhanced gull-wing storage area, this family-friendly vessel boasts plenty of space for passengers and their gear. While the LS interior bucks extravagance for a value price, its new laminated vinyl upholstery will make your friends just as happy as the modest price tag makes you.
HANDLING
The added size of the redesigned hull didn’t hinder the maneuverability of the Outback LS from years past. The boat performed up to par on double-ups and also held an accurate path for aggressive open-water skiing.
