BOAT REVIEW
Malibu’s Sunscape 23 LSV was designed to combine the best of both ends of the luxury-series spectrum, offering plenty of interior space and on-board amenities, as well as the ability to handle like the best of its smaller counterparts. The result is a ski boat that’s versatile and agreeable in all regards. So for buyers who aren’t ready for the biggest models in this line, but want room for the whole family and all their gear, the Malibu Sunscape 23 LSV is a great solution.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
The Sunscape 23 LSV is equipped with the same V25 Diamond hull as its little brother, the Sunscape 21 LSV, and like that boat, it boasts the ability to cross over from recreational ski wakes to wakes suitable for serious wakeboarders. Thanks to the 340 hp engine, getting up to skiing speed is a snap, and the table at 30 to 32 mph is flat enough for casual slalom cuts at 15 off. Slowed down and decked out with tower, ballast and the wake-shaping Power Wedge, the Sunscape 23 LSV is capable of churning up wakes to satisfy riders of almost all levels.
The configuration of tracking-focused technologies like the deep Gorilla fins, Precision Pro speed control and tunable rudder allow this 23-footer to handle like a smaller direct-drive. Novice and veteran drivers will appreciate the noticeable smoothness and stability.
