BOAT REVIEW
The Wakesetter 23 LSV is the boat of choice for families and pros alike. The official tow boat of pro rider Darin Shapiro’s wakeboarding school in Florida, it offers the versatility to suit most levels of riders, as well as the on-board comfort factor to please even the most discriminating families. Its forward-cab interior design create a roomy main cabin with plenty of space for riders to chill out in between sessions. For 2007, an added touch of style comes courtesy of the customized dash and swim platform, commemorating Malibu’s 25th anniversary.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
The Wakesetter 23 LSV is nothing if not versatile. Equipped with the wake-specific V25 hull and 1,250 pounds of ballast, this 23-foot V-drive produces wakes with rounded peaks, long transitions and soft landing zones that will make you feel like a pro whether you are one in real life or not. It caters to beginning, intermediate and advanced riders so well, in fact, that Darin Shapiro uses it as the official tow boat at his wakeboarding school in Florida, and Malibu team rider Gerry Nunn uses it at Just Ride clinics across the country. The Wakesetter 23 LSV is even more versatile with the optional Power Wedge, which helps riders fine-tune wakes to match the moves they’re ready to learn or have already mastered.

This boat handles much like the big V-drive that it is, but it’s able to maintain a remarkable degree of solid control thanks to the deep Gorilla tracking fins that keep it on the line.
