BOAT REVIEW
When it comes to the Crossover Nautique series, the name says it all. These boats are designed to please the whole family by crossing over from skiing to wakeboarding without issue. It’s a tall order, but the Crossover 211 Team Edition does a lot to fill it. Equipped with the Flight Control tower and 730 pounds of ballast, this 20-foot-9 boat clearly has the wakeboarding end of things covered. But what isn’t so noticeable is that this is the only V-drive approved by USA Water Ski for class C tournaments, making it a great boat for buyers interested in a smaller V-drive with proven multisport performance.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
Three boats are in Correct Craft’s new Crossover series, and although each is designed with the same purpose in mind–to effortlessly cross over between water sports activities–all three are very different boats. That’s because Correct Craft knows that lots of families want to do it all, and they’re not necessarily that similar. The Crossover 211 Team Edition is a smaller V-drive that combines agile handling, wakeboarding performance and tournament-approved skiing capability into a manageable 20-foot-9-inch package. So if wakeboarding ranks high on your list but you still want skiable wakes, this could be the boat for you.
The wakeboarding wakes are great for wake-to-wake moves, and with the help of the 730-pound ballast system and Hydro-Gate with SportShift, the size will satisfy even the advanced riders in your posse. The drivability of this boat comes courtesy of its compact size and deep-V hull design, which help it track on a rail even with someone in tow and still slice through chop without any jarring.
