New for 2009, the Malibu Response FXi is a crossover ski boat for families who ski first and play with other toys later. For that primary interest, Malibu Boats scaled down their proven Cut Diamond Hull into a 20-foot platform that delivers the same performance wakes as the LXi, evidenced by it’s USA Water Ski approval. Once the ski fix is satisfied, the optional Illusion XS tower, Malibu Power Wedge and 400-pound ballast system can help ramp up for the wakeboarding dessert.
INSIDE THE BOAT
To create greater comfort and storage in the FXi, Malibu Boats designers stretched the beam and added freeboard to their Cut Diamond Hull. The result is a direct-drive with more room than most, and with LCD controls and a hand-wrapped wheel, the driver gets the best seat in the house.
BEHIND THE BOAT
This Malibu FXi can take you as far as you want to go in the slalom course, but with a new level of interior space and comfort. Built on the 20-foot Cut Diamond Hull, the wakes are soft and easy to cross for beginners up through expert-level skiers.
