Malibu Wakesetter 247 LSV 2009

BOAT REVIEW

The 247 LSV is the Clydesdale of the Wakesetter stable. Malibu’s largest model is a big wakeboard boat designed for big crowds and big water. Despite its sizeable platform, this luxury performer handles like a much smaller rig. Out back, there are high-performance wakes that can be tweaked to please any style of rider or wakesurfer, and with room for 16 friends, thanks to smart cab-forward design, there’s a floating party waiting to happen every time she hits the water.

INSIDE THE BOAT

High-end details abound in the 247 LSV cockpit, such as a billet aluminum gauge panel, Italian Isotta steering wheel, LCD controls and more. Rockford Fosgate provides serious sounds, with a 10-in. subwoofer, and the dual built-in coolers are handy for separating food from drinks.

BEHIND THE BOAT

You expect a big wake from the largest boat in Malibu’s all-star lineup of world-class wakeboarding machines, but what you don’t expect is how perfectly sculpted it is. Our test riders raved about the boot they got off the top of the well-defined peaks as they easily took their air assault wake-to-wake.
