MasterCraft MariStar 200 2009

BOAT REVIEW
MasterCraft’s MariStar series is their luxury line, and the popular 200 is the most affordable way for amenity-minded buyers to get past the velvet rope and into serious VIP water-sports action. Offering the same versatile crossover wakes as the MasterCraft X-2, which shares the same hull, this classy model adds posh details such as wood-grain appointments on the throttle, dash and glove box. At 20 feet long, it’s easily to trailer and tucks neatly into the garage at the end of a great day.

INSIDE THE BOAT
With a nearly 8-foot beam, the MasterCraft MariStar 200 is extra wide for it’s size. That means more room in the wraparound lounge and superior storage, which is an impressive 90 cubic feet. The cockpit is noteworthy, too, with an adjustable seat and high-tech controls.

BEHIND THE BOAT
The MasterCraft MariStar 200’s hull is a great all-around water-sports performer. Wakesurfers and wakeboarders will enjoy the rampy shape, while recreational skiers can still get their share of the fun with open-water sets. Serious wakeboarders should outfit the 200 with the optional 890-pound ballast system to maximize their hang time.
