MasterCraft MariStar 255 2009

BOAT REVIEW
For 2009, MasterCraft Boats debuts the all-new MariStar 255 for water-sports-loving families looking for a whole new class of comfort and performance. As the only 25-foot platform on the inboard market, the MasterCraft MariStar 255 offers upscale big-boat features such as an enclosed head and wet bar, along with superior handling and wake performance akin to its X-Series cousin, the MasterCraft X-55. That’s a combination that’s tough to match, and because it’s a MasterCraft MariStar, there are luxury appointments on point from bow to stern.

INSIDE THE BOAT
Serious innovation is on display in the MasterCraft MariStar 255, from the intuitive VDIG (Video Digital Gauge) module in the cockpit to the versatile reversible observer’s seat and the bow-seating arm rests, which made us think, “Why haven’t we seen this before?”

BEHIND THE BOAT
When outfitted with the optional 1,120-pound ballast tanks, like our test boat was, the MasterCraft MariStar 255 delivers not only a big wake to the passionate family of wakeboarders, but it’s also clean and manageable for many ability levels. The newly modified deep-V hull with 18 degrees of deadrise is extremely solid through the large double-ups it creates.
