BOAT REVIEW
The MasterCraft X-45 works off the program: The bigger the wakeboard or ski boat, the better the party. MasterCraft engineers stretched the gunwales outward to provide maximum volume inside, resulting in a best-in-class 18- passenger capacity – that’s four families – and an expansive bow area that’s hard to match in size. With all those spectators, the playground out back better be great. Well, this rig delivers thanks to an impressive ballast system that can be adjusted to create custom wakes for riding, surfing, or whatever.
INSIDE THE BOAT
With a massive G-shaped lounge and 127 cu. ft. of storage, the MasterCraft X-45 seems like it can hold everyone and everything. The captain will enjoy an oversized seat that swivels 180-degrees and gain easy access to all controls through the standard VDIG (Video Digital Gauge) unit.
BEHIND THE BOAT
The MasterCraft X-45 shines as a well-rounded wake for numerous water sports. For wakeboarding, it’s rampy and wide and a touch steeper than the MasterCraft X-35, so your pop off the top has more energy. The standard adjustable wake plate allows riders to fine-tune the lip to their individual style. Wakesurfers will really enjoy this wake, too.
