MasterCraft X-55 2009

BOAT REVIEW
MasterCraft offers wakeboard and ski boat buyers with growing pains an entirely new size category with the MasterCraft X-55, the only 25-footer on the inboard market. This fresh platform comes decked with luxury features that you might expect from a cabin cruiser – not a water-sports rig – including an enclosed head with Corian vanity and a wet bar with optional refrigerator. With the standard VDIG (Video Digital Gauge) control module, ZeroFlex tower and 1,120-pound ballast system, the X-55 is just as inviting to riders.

INSIDE THE BOAT
The interior of the X-55 showcases the latest in MasterCraft design ingenuity. The reversible observer’s seat back is ultra-versatile, the swivel captain’s chair is one of the most comfortable we tested, and high-end details, such as billet speaker grilles and X-Pod gauge cluster, are abundant throughout.

BEHIND THE BOAT
It’s obvious a boat this size is plenty capable of producing a massive wake. Luckily, the swells can be groomed to perfection with the help of a standard wake plate. This gives riders the option of a crisp lip with more kick off the top or a gentler sloping wake with larger landing zones.
