BOAT REVIEW
Moomba’s core wakeboard boat offers the biggest ramps in the company’s lineup, along with room for 16 spectators and enough gear to keep everyone entertained. Built with serious riders in mind, the Mobius XLV comes standard with the 650-pound Gravity I ballast system that can be upgraded to a whopping total of 1,450 pounds, and the new pumps for ’09 promise 300 percent faster fill times. That means less waiting and more riding.
INSIDE THE BOAT
Rider-friendly features abound in the Moomba Mobius XLV’s expansive lounge. A filler cushion for the playpen bow comes standard, along with two-way, flip-up seat backs in the cockpit. Drivers will dig the improved ergonomics of the helm and upgraded seat with height adjustment.
WAKE ANALYSIS
It seems the Gravity Games world-class wakeboarding machine gets better and better every year. Long, rampy wakes offer plenty of punch off the lip, and wakeboarders with varying ability levels will appreciate the experience. Beginner to intermediate wakeboarders will find enough pop with the standard one-bag ballast, and advanced riders should opt for the optional gravity-defying three-bag system.
