Crossover Nautique 211 2009

BOAT REVIEW
For quality-conscious buyers who’ve always dreamed of owning a Nautique wakeboard or ski boat, the Nautique Crossover 211 can be their easy entry into the boat brand big leagues. A ramp-customizing combination of the versatile Fusion Hull and Hydro-Gate wake control system make this compact V-drive a do-it-all performer. It’s equally adept at stoking riders as it is pleasing skiers, evidenced by the model’s USA Water Ski certification. Add a flexible, kid-friendly layout — which features a transom walk-through — and multisport families will find a lot to like.

INSIDE THE BOAT
Drivers will enjoy the ergonomically designed comfort in the Nautique Crossover 211′s helm, with throttle and Hydro-Gate SportShift within easy reach and all gauges readable at a quick glance. Storage is smart, too, with locations throughout the lounge and a handy, 58-quart cooler under the rear bench.

BEHIND THE BOAT
Although the Nautique Crossover 211′s wake performance leans more toward wakeboarding than skiing, don’t discount its crossover ability. These wakes welcome open-water slalom sets that will satisfy the skiers on board. With the two rear tanks full and the Hydro-Gate on the wakeboard setting, we discovered fun ramps with enough size to land most of our moves.
