Ski Nautique 216 2009

BOAT REVIEW
With the versatile Ski Nautique 216, water sports-loving families can run the adults through the course in the morning glass and still offer the kids wakes conducive to grooming their growing wakeboard skills after lunch. The biggest platform in the brand’s ski boat lineup offers room for 10 and all their gear. With the available FCT1 tower and 308 pounds of factory ballast, young rippers will have plenty of ramp to keep them entertained after dad has gotten his slalom fix.

INSIDE THE BOAT
Standard convenience features include a 19-quart, in-floor cooler and a lockable, 17-cubic-foot trunk with easy-access gull wing hatches. Ergonomic elements — such as a three-position tilt steering wheel, adjustable seat with lumbar and the new smart pod dash — enhance the cockpit.

BEHIND THE BOAT
For a 21.7-foot boat, it’s hard to dispute the impressive skiing characteristics of the largest ski boat in the Ski Nautique series lineup, the 216. Aside from the usual rooster tail bump at 22 off, the wake is inviting for skiers looking to challenge themselves to new PBs in the slalom course and enjoying more room in the boat after their sets.
