Ski Boat Review
Not only is the Malibu Boats Response LXi, Malibu’s high-end skiing machine, one of the most progressive-looking ski boats on the water (with features like its frameless windshield and standard fiberglass swim platform), but its World-record-breaking performance is just as appealing. Malibu Boats engineers sculpted the Cut Diamond hull to deliver pancake-flat wakes and effortless wake crossings no matter what discipline you enjoy. For World champions and team slalom skiers Will Asher and Thomas Degasperi, pushing limits in the course has never been easier than with the Malibu Boats Response LXi.
Malibu Boats excels at fit and finish, with features like premium vinyl seats and supportive triple-density foam backing, allowing comfortable all-day skiing excursions. If that’s not enough, features like the adjustable lower lumbar-supported driver’s seat, bow filler cushion and optional walk-through jump seat certainly add to the comfort level.
The Malibu Response LXi’s exceptional wake and driving performance doesn’t allow excuses for a bad water ski set. The wake table is clean and completely symmetrical, and slalom ski edges will have no trouble finding a path with very little resistance. From longline into the shortest of rope lengths and varying boat speeds, the Malibu Response LXi is one sweet skiing machine.
1. Fiberglass swim platform: This standard feature is all about low maintenance and aesthetic appeal.
2. Optional MaliView: We like the 6.5-inch LCD option that now has stereo controls among its long list of other popular readouts.
3. Performance-driven hull: It’s a virtual sports car on the water with really impressive wakes for everyone from rookies to skiing’s elite athletes.
