Ski Boat Review
This MB Sports wakeboard boat, originally released last season, is back with a few upgrades to further enhance your wakeboard and surf sessions. The MB Sports B52V Team Wide Body‘s additional width offers a noticeably smoother, more stable ride. Boasting a grand cockpit with a 100-inch beam and seating for 16, the MB Sports B52V Team Wide Body now comes equipped standard with an upgraded Clarion sound system. Couple this with the 1,800-pound, 60-second, quick-fill ballast system and your wish list is covered.
COMFORT
With its wide-body design, the MB Sports B52V is able to offer in its 21 feet what is typically found in a 23-foot design — more room for friends and gear and added stability in rougher waters. Ample storage and telescoping “swing-away” wakeboard racks get your gear off the floor, increasing your lounge space with its expansive wraparound seating and padded sun deck.
WAKE PERFORMANCE
This is where the size of this wakeboarding boat really pays off. The wake behind the MB Sports B52V Team Wide Body is considerable. With only stock ballast and a limited boat crew we were riding an impressive, rampy wake that our riders described as very solid with smooth transitions. Further, the lip remained clean as we increased our crew weight.
STANDOUTS
1. Ballast system: Ease and speed combine in this wake-customizing feature. It fills and empties with the push of a button in 60 seconds.
2. Tower light: Newly available for 2010, the upgraded tower light system includes billet-machine-enclosed lights that look super sleek and high-end.
3. Sweet tunes: The new recessed fiberglass, six-speaker system can be customized to match the gelcoat scheme on your MB Sports B52V.
