MB Sports F23 Tomcat 2010

Ski Boat Review

The F23 Tomcat is top-shelf MB Sports. As the premier craft in the MB boats line, this wakeboard boat features a spacious bow configuration thanks to the pickle-fork design. Its hull was completely redesigned in 2009, and MB Sports upgraded the F23 for 2010 with a punch in the form of an upgraded Clarion sound system. A gravity-filled ballast system that’s standard in the MB Sports F23 Tomcat allows you to dial in a monster wake to each rider’s specific wants and needs. With the fastest-filling ballast system in the industry, you will be off the trailer and riding in record time.

COMFORT

The first thing we noticed as we settled into the MB Sports F23 Tomcat was the expansive interior. The wraparound seating configuration will house up to 16 people comfortably, including a roomy four-person playpen-style bow layout. Like the entire MB Sports boat lineup, aluminum billet accents are featured throughout the cockpit, including stainless-steel cup holders, offering clean styling and a decidedly modern appeal.

WAKE PERFORMANCE

Testers described the monster-size wakes as extremely well-defined with a predictable, crisp lip that sent them into orbit with ease. With 2,400 pounds of factory ballast, our team was very excited by the F23 Tomcat’s wake-building potential.

STANDOUTS

1. Dual transom step-ups: Complete with stainless-steel grab rails, these areas add convenience for putting on equipment and getting in and out of the boat.
2. Sturdy standard tower: Equipped with lights and racks, MB Sports’ stock tower is quick to collapse and holds a full rotation of gear.
3. Ample space: With the pickle-fork bow and an expansive cockpit, the F23 Tomcat has plenty of room for crew.
