Ski Boat Review
All-new for 2010, Nautique Boats introduced its latest three-event specialist, the Ski Nautique 200. Designed in part by the slalom legend Andy Mapple, this Nautique ski boat offers a newly configured dash unlike any on the market. By shifting all the controls to the right, the windshield is opened up, allowing for optimal lake visibility from the driver’s seat. More importantly, the Ski Nautique 200 has a completely retooled ski boat hull and a wake that is softer than any of its predecessors.
COMFORT
The clean lines of the Ski Nautique 200 extend to its interior. A redesigned clamshell engine box makes room for a few more inches of walk-around space in the lounge. With convenient and stylish features like twin saddlebag ski lockers, a stainless glove box housing the stereo head unit and the soothing indigo-blue console lights, you don’t have to sacrifice style and space for a top-of-the-line ski boat wake.
WAKE PERFORMANCE
The combination of a wider running surface and precisely guided water flow over the innovative lines of the hull provide added lift, reduced wake size and make the troughs flatter and easier to edge through. Since the wakes have more of a gradual entry, skiers who normally get kicked by the bumps will feel much more in control.
STANDOUTS
1. Helm: Outstandingly redesigned, you won’t find a more visible or conveniently handled driver’s console anywhere else on the market.
2. Flawless hull design: This hard-core three-event Nautique ski boat is guaranteed to make skiing easier and more fun.
3. LINC System: This easy-to-use optional dash LCD is the control center of your ski boat, which displays your engine diagnostics, GPS mapping, stereo controls and even video.

The new 200 is a dream! The step to the transom is a leg splitting savior. As a light weight woman slalom skier, the 200 has the softest wake I have ever skied behind. It's like not being there. The proof is that I always ski my personal best behind it & ski more confidently. As a driver, the 200 tracks very well and it's so easy to find the centerpoint of the boat guides. The boat stays on plane even from the start. The interior is comfortable for everyone, including the dogs! I love it!
At last a boat wake that will permit 28 & 30mph skiers like me to concentrate on something else than crossing the wakes.
Bravo Correct Craft for your efforts and workmanship.
Although I cannot afford buying one, I will accept every offer of skiing behind one for sure.
I honestly think it will permit record shattering passes from the pros.
Correct Craft did not over do it when they promised a revolutionary new design. They delivered.
Being a MasterCraft 1998 Prostar 190 owner I sincerely hope that MC will recover from it's financial crisis and come out with something equivalent, because after all competition is what motivates compagnies to out do themselves.
I wish every (I mean every) waterskier out there a fantastic 2010 season.
i skiied behind the boat at the european championchips and i can honestly say it is no where near as good as what they hype made it up to be, the wakes were strange and the pull for jump was weak. the trick table was poor for flipping and they still need the hydrogate to mend this problem, not a great boat, buy a LXi
i have drove one of the boats and there ride nice but, there not good to ski pull or pull a tube on. the waves it makes is not as good as my oklahoma boat
yes, it is.bamboo blinds, bamboo rug
SLOW.
Slalom wake is no better than a 196. Gauges impossible to read when driving. Undercuts on motor box catch ropes, round back a pain for putting a ski on. Gas fill is in the center making it more difficult to fill at a gas station or off a dock.
Most important, this boat turns 4,400 RPM to turn 36 mph. or 800 rpm more than a 196 and the acceleration is anemic and the gas milage worse. 4,400 RMP to run 36 with a prop that is essentially the same as a 196 means the prop is ventilating and that is a design flaw. Recreational barefooters will hate this boat due to the lack of speed. Hard core 3 event guys could care less about the extra storage, they ski off the dock on a private lake.
All this to get an open bow that no one will ride in. Open bow means tons of extra vinyl to clean and again, nobody rides up there anyway. So pay more, lots more and get less. Not impressed.
Awesome my man! Really hard to find people to call it like they believe it! Hype, hype… but, you still call it right… Im buying a 196 soon and going to put my extra dollars into a wedding… not mine, daughter tiffs'… thx sooo much!
John…
Thanks very much for your comments.
Just wondering if you think we are crazy to buy the 5.7L-343hp not the 6L-409hp given we have a very short run up leading into the course….
And if we got the 5.7L and tuned the prop to make it faster out of the hole would this make the "ventilating" worse.
Would love to hear your thoughts…
Thanks for your time…
Joel.
