Tige Z1 2010

Ski Boat Review

Although Tige Boats refers to its Tige Z1 as an entry-level wakeboard and ski boat that will appeal to the first-time boat buyer, this versatile 21-footer’s performance is so much more. It starts with Tige Boats’ ConvexV hull that curves up near the transom and works with the TAPS2 (wake plate) for a complete range of wake customization. Whether you’re a wakeboarder, wakesurfer or recreational water skier, the Tige Z1′s wake can be easily dialed on the fly. The driver enjoys a swivel captain’s chair with flip-up bolster, Tige Boats’ easy-to-use cruise control and a clean, low-profile dash. Inside the sporty and spacious 100-inch-wide cockpit you’ll find comfortable wraparound seating with hinged access and continuous storage space underneath.

COMFORT

Passengers inside the Tige Z1 get the same premium upholstery and attention to detail the luxury Tige Boats 24Ve model features. Plush 40-ounce snap-in marine carpeting welcomes your feet, the seat backs are reclined at just the right angle and the cockpit has just the right depth for added security.

WAKE PERFORMANCE

The 900-pound factory ballast system did its part to kick up ramps that had respectable size and clean transitions for a variety of riding styles on this wakeboard boat. For advanced wakeboarder, a 2,000-pound ballast option will provide plenty of wake volume and punch off the peaks.

STANDOUTS

1. Activity center: This padded space with two cup holders at the transom doubles as a staging area for getting ready to ride or a nice place to enjoy a cold beverage.
2. Roomy interior: Designed with a spacious 100-inch beam, the Tige Z1 offers deep seating with convenient hinged storage access.
3. Stellar wakesurfing wake: With Tige Boats’ patented adjustable wake plate you get outstanding performance on either side of the wakeboard boat.
