Party & Performance: 7 Big Water Ski Inboards

MasterCraft X55

This boat offers more than just a foot more stringer than the rest of its relatives; it gets as close as any inboard to creating a floating party house that can accommodate all-day (or all-night) excursions on the water. Featuring a wet bar equipped with a sink and fridge, an onboard head and enough space for 18 people, this boat tailors to the social crowd better than any other. Think the head is just a gimmick? Wait until your group has downed a few libations from the wet bar on a brisk spring day and can answer nature’s call on the boat instead of cruising back to the dock, and you might just understand what MasterCraft was thinking.

MasterCraft thought of just about everything in this floating palace: Armrests in the bow make riding in big water comfortable, and the contoured aft lounge area offers bucket-style seat backs to sink into, as well as a walk-through sun pad and an oversize swim platform. MasterCraft didn’t skimp on the glitz and glam; it’s evident in the grab rails, cup holders and automotive-inspired dash. The new Power Tower folds up and down with the push of a button, making bridge and lift headaches a thing of the past. Just make sure you mind the disco ball on the way down.

“One thing I’ve always been a fan of is boats that have a ton of cup holders and coolers, and it seems like anywhere you look in the X55 you stumble upon one of those,” team rider Parks Bonifay says. “Nothing’s worse than people in the boat drinking fruity cocktails and spilling them all over the floor or the upholstery. And some folks are scared of Florida gators, so it’s great to have that bathroom on board.” More from MasterCraft Boats
